@NancyWhite Global culture diffs are interesting, but I’m thinking more internet culture personal brand and gender differences in approach.
@zephoria Long ago you mentioned a study in england that talked about gender diffs in preadolescents lying in sn profiles. Have a ref?
At some point in the past @zephoria mentioned in a talk a SN study where pread. boys lied to be different whereas girls lied to be the same.

Early at Oakland Airport for flight to Seattle, heading to @bgiedu Intensive this weekend. Wireless is free here, but proxy server is slow.
Wow, free wifi at OAK airport practically unusable. The raw connection to internet is good, but they’ve proxied the heck out of it. Slow.
I’ve switched to my old standby, a Sprint Cell USB modem. Surprisingly fast, but a monthly fee that I’m getting tired of.
Subscribed to Boingo Wireless account just for wireless on Bainbridge Island / Seattle ferries. I figure I’ll be using them a lot this fall.

Disappointed by Boingo WiFi service. “unlimited” version it will only work with your laptop, not iphone. $7.95 more for for iPhone. Ripoff.
