The first 8 chapters of my iPhone book are available at http://www.manning.com/callen/ – only the webdev chapters until NDA is released.
They are also doing a iPhone 3G giveaway this weekend for people who buy advance copies of the book (50% off!)

No, sha1/md5 is not muntions as it is not encryption.
I’m looking for people to do technical review of the SDK chapters of our “iPhone in Action” book. You need to be already under Apple’s NDA.
Upgraded my iPhone to 2.0, installing a bunch of apps now. Moving them onto the iPhone using iTunes seems to take a long time.
Also took this opportunity while upgrading my iPhone to clean up my address book.

I’ve also paid for OmniFocus and Band. Skipping SuperMonkeyBall for now. Of course, also picked up a bunch of free iphone apps.
My first tweet from native iPhone twitteriffic app.
My iPhone is performing very poorly with 2.0 and lots of apps installed. I’m having to hard reboot regularly. Going to uninstall most.
Also, every time I sync the “backing up my iPhone” phase seems to take forever. Over 1-1/2 hours the first time. Its backing up again now.
Since I’ve got 2.0 running on my old phone, and I’m reading about so many problems with activating new, maybe I should wait?
I keep trying to buy Tap Tap Revenge from the AppStore, and I’ve been getting “The item you tried to buy is no longer available”. Ideas?

Yes, I did the red:green projects. Works well. Haven’t put it in the store as I don’t want it as my “first” AppStore app.

Also, I really wanted Jerry’s approval for red:green, which I recently got.
iPhone line at Emerybay: http://snapmylife.com/p/418426
Still in line at EmeryBay Apple Store, Emeryville, CA. My fault for getting here so late. 3 hours so far, probably 1 or 2 more.
Happy child in iPhone line having fun despite 3 hours waiting with parent. http://twitpic.com/3m2d
Hmm, bug in @twitteriffic iPhone app with uploading to TwitPic. Doesn’t respect orientation. See picture in last twiiter for example.

Re iPhone return/exchange – 14 day return 10% restocking fee according to Apple Store reps.
Got into Emerybay Apple Store about 5:15, out by 5:30 with iPhone 3G. Home by 6 but Sunburned from line. Napped for an hour while backing up
My iPhoneDevCamp acct for the iPhone Developer Program just got approved! If you have an open source app for iPhone, I can get you in store.
Looking through the new iPhone apps on my phone, evaluating which to keep.
Otherwise, it’s a cold lazy hazy day on the bay.
I’m looking for a tumblr-like microblog service for hosting my notes on all of these iPhoneApps. Any suggestions?

Hmm, so far at home and in North Berkeley I’ve only had Edge service on my new iPhone, no 3G connectivity at all. I had high hopes.

I don’t like how the new @twitteriffic iPhone app updates my status on my twitter status page. Too revealing.
What @twitteriffic should do is convert the geolocation to a location using a geonames.org API.

I’ve been looking at LoudTwitter for posting an archive of my twitters to my ephemera blog, but it doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions?
