Ideally true. I that will be possible through something I call #SmartCustody, which are cryptographic scripts. In the meantime the minimum requirement of fiduciary responsibility is dual control, which could be multisig from two parties.

For me Lightcoin’s biggest value is as a “live” testnet. This will allow it to potentially offer features sooner that Bitcoin can, like it did with segwit. In the future this can mean fungibility improvements, exchange-less trading atomic swaps, etc. Someday maybe a sidechain?

Two things: there are some features that a testnet can’t test sufficiently (though start on a testnet!); secondly I believe that Bitcoin legitimately must make changes difficult, but it also must innovate. Lightcoin could become such a place to learn from.

This list of key compromise attacks against companies is useful, but I’d like to see more data about attacks against individuals, as well as non-personal adversaries like bitrot & key fragility.
